2020 Cozumel Carnaval Ends: Traditional Ending of Juan Carnaval Burned
The ritual burning of “Juan Carnaval,” on Wednesday February 26th marked the traditional ending to the Cozumel Carnaval celebrations for 2020. Members of the Cozumel Municipal Government were on hand, as well as the 2020 Carnaval Organizing community who gave out prizes and awards to participants. Cozumel has a long rich Carnaval history stretching over 100 years.
Representatives from Cozumel Hotels are reporting that occupancy rates for their properties reached 90% Plans are in the works next year for a hotel/airline collaboration that could create packages for the 2021Carnaval.

La quema de “Juan Carnaval” el miércoles 26 de febrero, marcó el tradicional cierre de las Celebraciones del Carnaval de Cozumel del 2020.Con la presencia de funcionarios del gobierno municipal de Cozumel aso como del Comité organizador del Carnaval 2020, se entregaron premios y galardones a los participantes. Cozumel cuenta con una larga y rica historia carnestolenda de más de 100 años.
Representantes del ramo hotelero en Cozumel reportan que los índices de ocupación alcanzaron 90%. Hay planes en marcha de colaboración hoteles y aerolíneas con el objeto de crear paquetes para el Carnaval 2021.
