Cozumel is preparing to live a time full of tradition and fun, with a wide variety of events for all tastes. From theme parties to tributes to ancestors, the island will join in the celebrations of the Day of the Dead and Halloween.
Art in Cozumel
The artist Autumn Toñita will present her painting and video exhibition “Everyday Wonders of Cozumel: An Immersive Art Experience” this Friday, October 11 at 8 pm at the Museum of the Island. This exhibition, inspired by the daily life and landscapes of the island, offers the public a unique opportunity to appreciate Toñita’s artistic vision.
Halloween with a cause
On the night of October 31, the Aqui y Ahora Café will be transformed into a chilling party to celebrate Halloween and, at the same time, support the Cozumel Humane Society. With a costume contest, live music, themed drinks and delicious appetizers, the evening promises to be unforgettable. In addition, attendees will be able to enjoy the company of their pets, as a special contest will be held for costumed dogs.

Entry cost: Adults $300 MXN, Children (up to 12 years old) $200 MXN

Witches Convention
For lovers of the occult, Señor Frogs will be the setting for the fourth edition of the Witches Convention. With a mystical atmosphere and full of surprises, this event promises to be a unique experience. Attendees will be able to enjoy live music, special cocktails and a variety of themed activities.

Tribute to the men of the sea
On October 27, Cozumel will pay tribute to its fishermen with the “Fallen Men of the Sea” Fishing Tournament. This event, organized by the Cooperative Society of Aquatic and Underwater Tourist Workers of Cozumel, seeks to remember those who dedicated their lives to the sea. In addition to the tournament, a gathering will be held where the caught fish will be shared with the community.
Location: La Serena Ramp, in front of the military facilities in Cozumel

Day of the Dead Festivals
Cozumel will join the Day of the Dead celebrations with two large festivals. On the one hand, the Xcaret Festival of Life and Death traditions will feature the participation of artisans, cooks and artists from Quintana Roo, offering a wide variety of cultural activities.
Dates: October 30 to November 3
Cost: Adults $825 MXN, Children $450 MXN
On the other hand, the Hanal Pixán of the town of corn will invite attendees to celebrate the arrival of the souls with theater, music, legends, workshops and gastronomy.

Cozumel se prepara para vivir unas fechas llenas de tradición y diversión, con una amplia variedad de eventos para todos los gustos. Desde fiestas temáticas hasta homenajes a los ancestros, la isla se sumara a las celebraciones del dia de Muertos y Halloween.
Arte en Cozumel
La artista Autumn Toñita presentará su exposición pictórica y de vídeo “Maravillas Cotidianas de Cozumel: Una Experiencia de Arte Inmersiva” este viernes 11 de octubre a las 8 de la noche en el Museo de la Isla. Esta muestra, inspirada en la vida cotidiana y los paisajes de la isla, ofrece al público una oportunidad única de apreciar la visión artística de Toñita.
Halloween con causa
La noche del 31 de octubre, el Aqui y Ahora Café se transformará en una escalofriante fiesta para celebrar Halloween y, al mismo tiempo, apoyar a la Sociedad Humanitaria de Cozumel. Con un concurso de disfraces, música en vivo, bebidas temáticas y deliciosos aperitivos, la velada promete ser inolvidable. Además, los asistentes podrán disfrutar de la compañía de sus mascotas, ya que se llevará a cabo un concurso especial para perros disfrazados.

Convención de Brujas
Para las amantes de lo oculto, el Señor Frogs será el escenario de la cuarta edición de la Convención de Brujas. Con un ambiente místico y lleno de sorpresas, este evento promete ser una experiencia única. Los asistentes podrán disfrutar de música en vivo, coctelería especial y una variedad de actividades temáticas.

Homenaje a los hombres del mar
El 27 de octubre, Cozumel rendirá homenaje a sus pescadores con el Torneo de Pesca “Hombres Caídos del Mar”. Este evento, organizado por la Sociedad Cooperativa de Trabajadores Turísticos Acuáticos y Subacuáticos de Cozumel, busca recordar a aquellos que dedicaron su vida al mar. Además del torneo, se llevará a cabo una convivencia donde se compartirá el pescado capturado con la comunidad.
Lugar: Rampa de La Serena, frente a las instalaciones militares en Cozumel

Festivales de Día de Muertos
Cozumel se unirá a las celebraciones de Día de Muertos con dos grandes festivales. Por un lado, el Xcaret Festival de tradiciones de Vida y Muerte contará con la participación de artesanos, cocineros y artistas de Quintana Roo, ofreciendo una amplia variedad de actividades culturales.

Por otro lado, el Hanal Pixán del pueblo del maíz invitará a los asistentes a celebrar la llegada de las ánimas con teatro, música, leyendas, talleres y gastronomía.
