Cozumel Cruise Ship Arrivals In Very High Season: High Passenger Numbers

More than 100,000 passengers are expected to arrive in Cozumel during the eighth week of the year, with 33 cruise ships arriving at all three piers: Punta Langosta, SSA Mexico and Puerta Maya, as reported by the Integral Port Administration of Quintana Roo (APIQROO).

The estimated economic outflow for this period amounts to $10 million 860 billion dollars, with a daily average of 551 million dollars. These figures are calculated based on $91.48 per capita spending, estimated by the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) from customer satisfaction surveys.

Monday 17 marks the beginning of this period, which will extend until Sunday, February 23.  Monday’s  arrival of four cruise ships and an estimated 13,302 tourists, according to the maximum capacity of the vessels.

By Tuesday 18, six floating hotels with 17,474 passengers are expected to arrive. Wednesday 19th will be the strongest day of the week, with seven cruise ships arriving and a total of 27,754 visitors.  On Thursday 20, six ships will bring in 23,651 tourists, who will disembark early at international cruise terminals.

Over the weekend, eight more ships will dock on the island, marking the close of the so-called off season in cruise tourism, as the ships restructure their routes to Europe.

Arribo de buques turísticos a Cozumel durante temporada muy alta: cifras elevadas de pasajeros

Según informó la Administración Portuaria Integral de Quintana Roo (APIQROO), durante la octava semana del año se espera la llegada de más de 100,000 pasajeros a Cozumel a través de 33 buques que atracarán en los tres muelles: Punta Langosta, SSA México y Puerta Maya.

La derrama económica que se espera para este periodo asciende a $10 millones 860 mil millones de dólares estadounidenses, con un promedio diario de $551 millones de dólares estadounidenses. Estas cifras se calculan con base en el gasto de $91.48 per cápita que estima la Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) a partir de encuestas de satisfacción de clientes.

El lunes 17 marca el inicio de este periodo que se prolongará hasta el domingo 23 de febrero. Conforme la capacidad máxima de los buques, con el arribo de cuatro buques turísticos el lunes se estimó la visita de 13,302 turistas

Para el martes 18 la llegada esperada es de seis hoteles flotantes con 17,474 pasajeros. El miércoles 19, el día más intenso de la semana, serán siete buques con un total de 27,754 visitantes. El jueves 20, seis buques con 23,651 turistas que desembarcarán en las terminales internacionales de buques desde temprano.

Durante el fin de semana atracarán ocho buques más en la Isla, marcando el cierre de la que se conoce como la temporada baja en el turismo de buques turismo ya que los buques reestructuran sus rutas hacia Europa.
