According to an article in the “Quintanarroense,”  the head of the Committee on Ecology and Urban Development recently officially delivered to the Cozumel municipality, the “Las Cuevas de Yucatán, Isla de Cozumel,” which is a book of rules and regulations outlining the uses of cenotes, here in the island as well as the Yucatan.  Although the regulations still need to pass by legal directorates and various other formalities, one of Cozumel’s unique natural resources will now be protected.
