Although hurricane season doesn’t officially start until June, Cozumel authorities are leaving nothing up to chance.  With an active hurricane season predicted for this year, the 2013 Hurricane Preparedness Committee has already had it’s first meeting.  The committee is chaired by the head of Civil Protection, Captain Rudy Erosa.  They have already prepared a hurricane preparedness flyer to be distributed to the general public, with 5,000 flyers in English and 20,000 in Spanish.
