France’s ambassador to Mexico, Elisabeth Beton-Delengue, called into Cozumel recently aboard the “Ventose,” a French military frigate.  The “Ventose,” which was also sent to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina, remained docked at Punta Langosta for three days, where she will then begin an Atlantic-Caribbean training patrol.

Cozumel’s President Fredy Marrufo Martín, who has only been in office since October 1st, welcomed Ambassador  Beton-Delengue,  as Cozumel’s first international dignitary received under his administration
