During August in Cozumel there will be a series of events that promise to involve the community in community, recreational and conservation activities. Below we present some of the most outstanding events.
August 4: Beach Cleanup, Real Whopper Beach on Tour
The Burger King Company is involved in conservation activities and carrying out a series of activities throughout the peninsula and Cozumel is no exception. The “Real Whopper Beach on Tour” campaign, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and beach cleanups. This event will take place on August 4 in Cozumel, as part of an initiative to keep beaches free of waste and preserve them in their natural state.
The campaign, supported by the Ixpalbarco Brigade, seeks to involve the community in environmental conservation activities. Registration can be done through the Ixpalbarco Brigade’s social networks, where the registration link is located.
August 17: 3rd Cozumel Red Cross 5K Race
The Cozumel Red Cross is hosting its third annual 5K race, which will take place in front of the city hall at 6:30 p.m. With a donation of $250 pesos, participants will receive a kit that includes a t-shirt, a participant number, and a medal at the end of the race. Additionally, there will be a raffle with great prizes at the conclusion of the event.

- Ego Gym (11 Avenida between 5a and 10a)
- Never Jamás (30 Avenida with Esq. Calle 5 Sur, from 4 to 10 p.m.)

August 18: 1st Festival Del Mar
The 1st Festival Del Mar, an event dedicated to highlighting the beauty of the oceans and protecting public areas from commercial threats. Within the framework of this festival, the “Mantarrayas Circuit” will be held, an open water swimming competition that will take place on the Villa Blanca reef. The event is designed for swimmers of all levels, offering distances ranging from 300 meters to 5 kilometers.

- Location: Mantarrayas Beach – Villa Blanca Reef
- Meeting point: Dive Paradise
Event features:
- Distances: 1.5 km (3 laps), 2.5 km (5 laps), 5 km (10 laps), children 300 meters (1 lap).
- Categories: Free Men and Women (13 years and older), Children Men and Women (6 to 12 years).
- Prizes: For the first 3 places in each category and cash prizes for the best 5 km swimmers.
- Safety: Rescue teams and personnel trained in first aid will be available.
- Raffles: Those registered will participate in raffles with their participant number.

Cartelera de Agosto en Cozumel: Conciencia Ambiental y Actividades Comunitarias

Durante agosto en Cozumel se realizaran para una serie de eventos que prometen involucrar a la comunidad en actividades comunitarias, recreativas y de conservación. A continuación, presentamos de algunos de los eventos mas destacados.
4 de agosto: Limpieza de Playa, Real Whopper Beach on Tour
La Compañía Burger King se involucra en actividades de conservaciony realizando una serie de actividades en toda la peninsula y cozumel no es la esepcion. La campaña “Real Whopper Beach on Tour”, destinada a promover la conciencia medioambiental y la limpieza de playas. Este evento tendrá lugar el 4 de agosto en Cozumel, como parte de una iniciativa para mantener las playas libres de desechos y preservarlas en su estado natural.
La campaña, apoyada por la Brigada Ixpalbarco, busca involucrar a la comunidad en actividades de conservación ambiental. La inscripción se puede realizar a través de las redes sociales de la Brigada Ixpalbarco, donde se encuentra el enlace de registro.
17 de agosto: 3ra Carrera 5K de la Cruz Roja Cozumel
La Cruz Roja Cozumel organiza su tercera carrera anual de 5K, que tendrá lugar frente al palacio municipal a las 6:30 p.m. Con un donativo de $250 pesos, los participantes recibirán un kit que incluye una playera, un número de participante y una medalla al finalizar la carrera. Además, habrá una rifa con grandes premios al concluir el evento.

El 1er Festival Del Mar, un evento dedicado a resaltar la belleza de los océanos y a proteger las áreas públicas de amenazas comerciales. En el marco de este festival, se llevará a cabo el “Circuito Mantarrayas”, una competencia de natación en aguas abiertas que tendrá lugar en el arrecife Villa Blanca. El evento está diseñado para nadadores de todos los niveles, ofreciendo distancias que van desde 300 metros hasta 5 kilómetros.

- Premios: A los 3 primeros lugares de cada categoría y premios en efectivo para los mejores nadadores de 5 km.
- Seguridad: Equipos de rescate y personal capacitado en primeros auxilios estarán disponibles.
- Rifas: Los inscritos participarán en rifas con su número de participante.
