This past Tuesday, July 30th, marked the hottest day of the year, with a maximum temperature of 99f/37c.    During these hot summer vacation days Cozumel’s beaches have been full with visitors and residents alike, looking to beat the heat.  Municipal lifeguards have been on high alert.  According to recent figures, hotel occupancy during the past week has been estimated to be around 59%.
