Due to a combination of both federal and municipal grants, many of Cozumel’s neighborhoods, or colonias, will be receiving a much needed face-lift.  Over 3M pesos will be used to create or re-vamp existing sidewalks and curbs throughout the island.  Additionally, several colonias will also have new street lighting installed.  Also in the works is the expansion of the Community Development Centre (CDC) located in the colonia “Juan Bautista Vega” as well renovations to the Macroplaza located in “San Gervasio.”
