International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Cozumel

Cozumel. – As part of the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, DIF System of Quintana Roo through CRIM Cozumel and in collaboration with the municipal DIF, held the 2022 “Unity and United for Disability” for Disability at the Andres Quintana Roo Park, which had a moving turnout of Cozumel families.

 

DIF’s general director, Abril Sabido Alcérreca headed the race along hundreds of people in wheelchairs, on foot, and with serviceable aids who walked, ran, and rolled f 3kms to 5kms distances on the waterfront avenue and around the Andres Quintana Roo Park.

 

 

 

The main purpose of this activity was to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with disabilities in the political, social, economic areas and cultural life of the State, as encouraged by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa for a government with shared prosperity, welfare, and social inclusion.

 

 

Likewise, prior to the race, the 1st edition of the “National and State Training and Certification Day in Adapted, Paralympic and Inclusive Sports” was held, where coaches, teachers in sport and inclusive sports were trained by Isaac Aquino virtually and in person, as well as the “National and State Training and Certification Day in Adapted, Paralympic and Inclusive Sports”, where coaches, teachers in sport and inclusive sports were also trained virtually and in person by Isaac Aquino.

Dia Internacional de las Personas con Discapacidad en Cozumel

Cozumel.- En el marco de la conmemoración del Día Internacional de las Personas con Discapacidad, celebrado el pasado 3 de diciembre,  el Sistema DIF Quintana Roo a través del CRIM Cozumel y en coordinación con el DIF Municipal realizaron la Carrera por la Discapacidad 2022 “Unidad y Unidos por la Discapacidad” en el Parque Andrés Quintana Roo, misma que contó con emotiva participación de familias cozumeleñas.

 

 

 

La Directora General del DIF Quintana Roo, Abril Sabido Alcérreca encabezó el arranque de la carrera, acompañada de cientos de personas en silla de ruedas, a pie, y con apoyos funcionales con quiénes  caminaron, corrieron y rodaron distancias de 3kms a 5kms sobre la Avenida del malecón y alrededor del parque Andrés Quintana Roo.

 

 

El objetivo principal de dicha  actividad fue  sensibilizar sobre la inclusión de las personas con discapacidad en los ámbitos de la vida política, social, económica y cultural de la entidad, mismas que impulsa la gobernadora Mara Lezama Espinosa para la construcción de un gobierno con prosperidad compartida, y de bienestar e inclusión social.

 

 

 

Asimismo, previan carrera, se llevó a cabo la 1era edición de la “Jornada Nacional y Estatal de Capacitación y Certificación en Deporte Adaptado, Paralímpico e Inclusivo”, donde se capacitó de manera virtual y presencial con Isaac Aquino, a los entrenadores, profesores en deporte convencional y paralímpico, así como a familiares de deportistas con discapacidad.
