Plans in Motion for a Cozumel-based SRE Office.  Mexican Nationals Can Now Renew Passports on Island

Good news for island residents – a Secretary of Foreign Relations office, also known as an SRE, is scheduled to open in the next few months.  The first passport office located here on the island, is scheduled to open by early summer.

 

New SRE Office Will Serve Cozumel Island Residents

This summer, the Island of Cozumel will have a passport office to serve the island. It will be Cozumel’s first Secretary of Foreign Relations (SRE) office, which is scheduled to open in about three months.

 

Badih Sleme Flores, Cozumel’s Director of Economic Development and Tourism, said the SRE office will be located on the upper floors of the Plaza del Sol building located right in the downtown Benito Juarez Park.

 

Expected to open in late June or early July, Cozumel islanders will no longer have to travel to Cancun to renew their documentation.

 

 

 

Se han echado a andar los planes para la apertura de una oficina de la SRE en Cozumel. Los mexicanos ahora podrán renovar sus pasaportes en la Isla

Buenas noticias para los habitantes de la Isla. Se prevé que en los próximos meses abrirá una oficina de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, también conocida como SRE. La apertura de la segunda oficina a ubicarse en la Isla está programada a principios de verano.

 

La nueva oficina de la SRE prestará servicio a los habitantes de Cozumel

Este verano, la Isla de Cozumel tendrá una oficina de pasaportes. Será la segunda oficina de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SER) cuya apertura está proyectada para dentro de tres meses.

 

Badih Sleme Flores, director de Desarrollo Económico y Turismo de Cozumel, indicó que la oficina de la SRE se ubicará en los altos de Plaza del Sol, justo en el parque Benito Juárez en el centro.

 

Se espera que la apertura sea a finales de junio o principios de julio. Los isleños de Cozumel ya no tendrán que viajar a Cancún para renovar su documentación.

Fabián, s umuy tolerante marido, desde hace mucho tiempo se resignó a no tener vida privada, pues se ha visto implicado en los diversos proyectos y planes que urde Laura. Son orgullosos padres de diversos perros y gatos rescatados. Mientras contempla su paso a través de la vida en el Caribe mexicano, Laura continúa siendo la pesadilla en la existencia de su muy tradicional suegra mexicana.
