We’re at 5230 nests and the number just keeps going up. Probably in the next couple of weeks will get the final number. I’m glad to announce that The Turtle Information center is operational. There are still a few details to iron out but you can find information and a meeting point there. Is located in San Martin Beach, you will spot a White and Green RV and a White Tent. I’ll be there from 11 am to 4:00 pm. You can get T-Shirts and others stuff there, like Fridge Magnets and stickers. Tourists can be part of the Search And Rescue Program. To do that gather in the Information Center for an Informative Briefing all that for a donation fee of 25 dollars per person. We’ll give info, a light drink and the opportunity to rescue baby turtles with us and help in the releasing event. The releasing event still take place at 5:30. Look for us on the other Side. Friday is day off, but you can go weekends. See ya there.
Turtle Trivia: Sea Turtles are considered living fossils did you know that? That’s because they’ve lived in this planet for the last 120 millions years. They survived the extinction of the dinosaurs, but they still roam the oceans. And the turtles in general are primitive in comparison with other reptiles, the oldest known turtle ever discovered in fossil record has 220 millions years old.
