Cozumel’s Cruz Roja, or Red Cross, in English, recently celebrated 30 years of community service.  To commemorate the event, the Museo de la Isla featured a photo exhibition throughout the years.  Thanks to outstanding community support and involvement, the Cruz Roja has been able to expand their services including the new facility, located on Av. 65, with paramedics, ambulances, and even x-ray services.

This year, the Winter Group of Cruz Roja volunteers is soliciting donations for a sonogram machine. To raise the $18,000 (USD) for the purchase, volunteers are needed the the airport and to help sell carnival beads and masks.  If you’re interested in helping out please contact Sandy Timmons at rickandsandytimmons@yahoo.com
