While the United States observes daylight savings time by springing forward the second Sunday in March, in this case, March 10th, our area of Mexico will not change the clocks until the first Sunday in April, which is April 7th,  at 2 am. Please keep this in mind,  during these three weeks, since Central Standard Time in our area will be different than that of the US.

Some Mexico municipalities which share a border with the United States will began daylight saving time with the US.  This change in daylight saving time observance was requested by local governments and political leaders to help facilitate commerce with the United States during the 3 weeks in March when the two countries were on different times.  The State of Sonora does not observe daylight savings time at all.
