Olympic windsurfing athlete Demita Vega de Lille, has completed another massive feat.  Last Tuesday she set out to complete “la vuelta,” or a lap around the island of Cozumel, non-stop.  That’s approximately 111 miles and she completed her lap in just under 7 hours, in spite of protections of 10 hours.   Accompanied by naval officials and other safety teams, Demita windsurfed her way  through the National Marine Park and other protected areas of the island.  In addition, she was able to overcome constant wind changes, currents and other environmental factors.  After this feat, we’re sure this Cozumel athlete will win the gold in the 2016 olympics.
