The construction of a roof for the semi-Olympic pool at the Municipal Sports Complex is nearly complete. In fact, the pillars, which will support the roof structure are already in place, and the project, which had a projected cost of 5 million pesos, is expected to be completed in a few short weeks. Since the construction of the semi-olympic pool, Cozumel has trained several swimmers who have competed at the national level, and set record times. With the new roof, training can continue uninterrupted during inclement weather.
