Things are different this week in Cozumel.  While schools are closed and many people are on a hiatus from work; the weather has been perfect with blue skies and light breezes.  There is not a documented case of Swine Flu in the entire state; we are all healthy.  In fact, the closest cases of swine flu are 2 states away, in Oaxaca, which is more than an 8 hour car ride away.  It’s important to get the word out that our island is still the peaceful, safe Caribbean refuge it’s always been.  The diving conditions have been super, and your favorite restaurant has a table open.  Please come on down!

Las cosas  son diferente esta semana  en Cozumel. Donde la escuelas estan cerradas y mucha gente  dejo de trabajar; el tiempo es perfecto el cielo es azul y ligeras brisas. No hay registro de un solo caso de influenza en el estado. Estamos saludables. De echo solo se presentaron dos casos en Oaxaca que esta a ocho horas por carretera de Cozumel. Es importante decirle al mundo que nuestra isla esta en armonia, donde siempre en el caribe es un refugio seguro. Las condiciones para bucear son fantasticas y los restaurants estan abiertos, los esperamos!

With children on break from school this week, Nancy Murray of Caribe Properties, has complied a list of what to do to keep the little ones active.  What many visitors to the Island don't know is that we have a branch of the internationally known franchise of GYMBOREE. Located on 19th between 5th and Melgar (one block back from Dolphinarious), Gymboree welcomes children newborn thru 5 years of age , for a variety of programs, depending on your child's age. For example, they can participate in 2, 1 hour long classes focusing on art and music, unaccompanied, for 700 Pesos.
 
And, the ever popular Pijamada or Pajama Party where they offer a supervised babysitting service on Friday nights from 6-9 pm for only 150 Pesos. Your children of all ages are let loose in the wonderland of Gymboree, with other Mexican and Bi lingual kids to play supervised activities. Send them in their pajamas - because they come home pooped and ready for bed - and best of all, Mom and Dad get the chance to go ou to dinner, or to a movie knowing that their ildren are being carde for by trained, qualified professionals!
